Proximity Readers:

As with most access systems the user of the system carries a card or a tag, but instead of having to swipe the card, the user simply presents the card or tag up to a reader, which typically will see the card at about 100mm distance, making this a non-contact and faster method of entry.

The XM3 MICROPROXS™dual frequency proximity reader is world's first prox reader, supporting world wide RFID standards on 125kHz and 13.56MHz.



MICROPROXS™ is a stand-alone proximity reader/controller which can function as a single door access control solution but can also be easily connected in a RS485 network. In a RS485 network the XM3's continue to function stand-alone and can be maintained using the XM3 Manage software. The XM3 may also be connected to 3rd party systems using ABA magnetic stripe, Wiegand or RS 485.

The administrator card sets are pre-printed with the +, -, P and Night signs. With these special cards, cards can be added, voided, programmed and the Night timer can be set for increased security level. Prints can be customized upon demand.
